Seesmic Desktop And TweetDeck - A Comparison

Seesmic and Tweetdeck are two very good social media desktop clients, which I came across. So I thought why not write a comparison between both of them.

Seesmic Desktop:

Seesmic Desktop is designed for Windows and Mac OS. It’s an all in one tool that integrates Twitter and Facebook together. You can easily reply to your friends, share text, links, photos and videos all together by using just a single tool. It helps you to update your status on Facebook as well as on Twitter and also helps you to get real-time updates. The Seesmic Desktop Client can be downloaded from here.

TweetDeck:

TweetDeck is similar to Seesmic but it also has few more features. TweetDeck is a kind of personnel browser which helps users to stay in touch with their friends on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and MySpace, all from using just a single tool. It is designed to run on Windows, MacOS and Linux operating system. The TweetDeck Client can be downloaded from here.

Google releases Chrome OS

The much anticipated Chrome Operating System from Google has arrived today and its open source, which means that all the external developers will have the same code as the internal developers. The Chrome OS is a web operating system which has a Chrome browser like interface and application tabs not web tabs.It takes only seven seconds bootup time, which will be much faster on its release.

This is not a beta version of Chrome OS, infact it is an open source version available to developers. The final version is expected to be released next year.

 

Silverlight Beta 4 available for download

Microsoft has introduced Silverlight beta 4 at PDC in Los Angeles. Silverlight Beta 4 is available only after 3 months since Silverlight 3 was launched in the market. Microsoft showcased some new features in Silverlight 4 which will enable the developers to create highest quality media and Rich Internet Applications for the Web and Desktop. Microsoft will also release Internet Information Services(IIS)Media Services 3.0 in next 30 days which will allow "Live Smooth Streaming" of content to the users. The technology has already been used  in beta since May.

Youtube is now connecting with Citzens and Journalist with Youtube Direct

Now a days everybody has cell phones with built-in camera and they are taking full advantage of it, becoming like citizen journalist and posting it on Youtube during earthquakes, fires or any other natural disasters. Mostly any kind of event that takes place is captured on camera and posted. As Youtube is a global platform it has now released a new tool known as YouTube Direct. It enables media organizations to review and broadcast user generated content directly from users. It is built on the same APIs and is an open source application. The videos can be directly uploaded via the application also. It helps the media organization to easily review the videos and broadcast them simultaneously on YouTube.

GOOGLE Dashboard --- A Privacy Tool

Google has announced its new tool Google Dashboard which helps users to view their data stored with Google accounts. The Google dashboard offers a very easy to use interface which offers data associated with your account in one location. It provides an online summary of a User's Google files such as Gmail, Google Docs, Picassa Photos and so on. It also helps you review and delete recent Google searches, see recently opened and shared documents and also the summary of Youtube searches as well.
